What paints do you use and who buys them?

​

We use premium brands, including Benjamin Moore, Dulux and Sherwin Williams, for all our projects. If you have a personal paint preference, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to use your brand of choice.

As we are professional Sudbury painters, we usually provide the paint for our clients to my cost to what I get it for to save on cost then other companies charging regular price. However, your more than welcome to buy the paint yourself if you prefer.

What should I do to prepare for your estimate?

It’s best for all decision – makers to be present at the time of the estimate. I recommend that you:

• Make a list of all the work you want done for each room of your home

• Choose colors and finishes

• Determine an approximate time frame you would like the work completed

What should I do to prepare for painting?

​

Remove all pictures and paintings (leave nails or screws if you plan to re-hang pictures in the same spot), as well as any unwanted nails so the holes can be filled.

Remove any small and fragile objects and clean out all closets, cabinets and shelves that will be painted.

Remove all window treatments and any hanging items in the room that is getting painted.

Will I need to move my furniture?

Yes. Furniture should be at least 3 to 4 feet from any wall being painted.

What should I do with my pets?

​

Ideally your pet(s) should be kept in a separate area than the one being painted. Sometimes the paint fumes can be harmful to your pet(s). Also, there is the risk that they may get into the paint tray or touch a fresh painted surface and alter the finish.

What forms of payment do you take?

4 Sure W. Timothy’s Painting currently accepts Cash, Cheques and E-transfer. Just be careful with other Sudbury painters who only take cash.

Is there anything that could affect the price you quoted me?

As long as you don’t make any of the following changes, the price you’ve been quoted is what you will pay.

• Changing the colours originally discussed to a colour that may require additional coats of paint for adequate coverage (e.g. yellows, whites, bright colors)

• Changing contract specifications (i.e. adding additional coats of paint, adding a room or doors and windows, changing trim colour etc.)

• Additional time needed to prepare a room if it’s not ready to be painted (i.e. removing fragile objects, emptying cabinets etc.)
